  : : Modem Configuration for CDMA / UTL Phones
 
CONFIGURING CDMA / UTL PHONE FOR INTERNET CONNECTION.
  Phone sets provided by UTL itself act like a modem so you don't need extra modem.
    A) Connect your UTL Phone to PC with a Data Cable compatible to your UTL set.
  Possible Data Cables may be of following type.
        1) RJ45 to Serial Cable.
        2) Serial to Serial Cable.
    B) After connecting your UTL Phone to your PC, configure your UTL phone as a modem as follow.
 
Windows XP
 
1. Click on Start => Control Panel.
2. Click on Phone & Modems icon.
3. Click on Modem tab.
4. Click on Add button.
5. Click on Don't detect my modem. Click Next.
6. Select Standard 19200 bps modem*. Click Next.
7. Select the COM Port(COM1 or COM2), where your UTL Phone is connected to. Click Next.
8. Click on Finish.
9. Now create a Dial-up Connection and connect to your ISP.  Click here.
 
  * Standard 19200 bps modem: Selection is subject to change if UTL changes its internet connection configuration.

Windows 2000
 
1. Click on Start => Settings => Control Panel.
2. Click on Phone & Modems icon.
3. Click on Add button.
4. Select [ Don't detect my modem, i will select from a list ]. Click Next.
5. Select Standard 19200 bps modem*. Click Next.
6. Check for the PORT selection. Select the COM Port(COM1 or COM2), where your UTL Phone is connected to. Click Next.
7. Click on Finish.
8. Now create a Dial-up Connection and connect to your ISP.  Click here.
 
  * Standard 19200 bps modem: Selection is subject to change if UTL changes its internet connection configuration.

Windows 98 SE
 
1. Click on Start => Settings => Control Panel.

3. Click on Add button.
